Quick Look Zip Files

Quick look is an amazing feature only made available recently on the newer Mac operating systems. Although brilliant in its original design there has been a few missing components to the feature. One of those is the ability to Quick Look a compressed file to see it's contents without actually having to decompress it. Click here to download the plugin.

Once you have downloaded the plugin and have decompressed it please follow these instructions to install.

1. From your Hard Drive (not user account) navigate to /Library/QuickLook
2. Drag the Zip.qlgenerator into /Library/QuickLook
3. To use the plugin simply hit the space bar with your compressed file selected or right click and select the option to "Quick Look"
