The feature to display duplicates songs in iTunes is a nice feature in itself, however iTunes isn't very strict on what it considers a duplicate entry. As long as the songs have the same name and artist they are considered a duplicate song. Personally I have quite a few duplicates I want to keep because they are different versions or remixes of the same song.
This brings me to the meat of the post. How to only display exact duplicates of a song. With the file menu open you will see "Display Duplicates" now if you hold down the option key you will magically see that text change to "Display Exact Duplicates."
